Beware of the Underdog

DTG VUW & MU Heat 2 on Wednesday night at Valhalla was as memorable as it gets!

DIG THE GIG House Band Kaletta had all the bands up dancing in a heart beat. It really was a wonderful sight to see.

Host with the Most Moey Robbins stepped up and had a blinder! Its all done hill from here on in for Moey Robbins.

Thanks to Ben and his hospitality hero’s for the sound, lights and custom - you guys are legends.

BZZNZZ are the business! These cool cats brought in their own piano and the rest is history. You have to see these guys live.

Baldleaf are hectic and heroic - A superb band that owns the stage and know how to set it on fire!

Selohrae hadn’t played a show in two years - these guys and girls are the bomb! Simply divine!

Mon Gonzo over delivered on all fronts - it doesn’t get much better than this - insanely tight band that know how to push all the right buttons and turn the room into frenzy.

Fairy Bread had to take to the ring of rock n' roll after Mon Gonzo’s set - I felt for them, but as Michael Hill once said to me 'always beaware of the underdog’ Fairy Bread brought the crowd and played their first ever gig like it was their last -I can assure you that it wont be (their last gig) and thank God for that - the power of believing in ones self ripped through the crowd and Fairy Bread took hone the spoils.

A big fat shout out to our new photographer Becky Nevada Isherwood - Becky you brought your A game and captured a memory - don't go changing!

See all you good souls at Heat Three on Wednesday August 14th from 7pm at Valhalla.
