DIG THE GIG OU OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED.

DIG THE GIG OU was finally launched this week and it felt incredible! 

It really is the simple things in life that count - good humans connecting together over the power of live music - the best medicine one will ever have to take down. 

DIG THE GIG House Band Flying Man warmed up he PA with ease - Alan is quite the music troubadour across the Dunedin music scene - he has the goods in spades! 

M!DN!GHT kicked off the proceedings in style - Dragon Winkoff who sings from the kit was outstanding in uniqueness and pure character - these guys are very new to the scene, they should be proud of their set - it was an honour having them onboard and drawing the first blood for DIG THE GIG OU Heat One 2024.

Purple Dog are a five piece band of very cool Gypsies - lead vocalist Imogen Foley hit her straps early on and the band followed suit beautifully. Eclectic and mesmerising it certainly was and I wouldn’t mind betting that a Wild Card might be coming their way.

Saurian took to the stage like a bat out of hell - Very cool cats that know how to rock friggin hard. We loved it! The entire band wanted to entertain us and thats exactly what happened. Don't go changing. 

Becca Caffyn and her all star band made history by winning DIG THE GIG OU Heat One on Wednesday May 22nd. This young lady from Hamilton knows how to play - she’s honest, endearing and she will take you to that place where cant remember but you’ll never forget. Well played and we cant wait to see you at the semi final on July 17th.

The Audio Visual Drop Kicks are the real deal  - they know how to write catchy songs - they have that cool Dunedin Sound - Kaia and Jeremy shared the vocal duties brilliantly, lead guitarist George stood upright and played his heart out and Shaarav thundered away with precision and attack with out loosing his shit on Ed’s hip TAMA kit. We loved your set immensely. 

Ani Saafa closed off the night and we all felt it. These guys have been around - they are tight and know how to lift and equally as powerful know how to bring you down! It was a perfect set. Im sure we will be seeing them again. Great performance.
